Micki and his a-net-odal web page

Hello! My name is Micki. I often stop by the shop and love to eavesdrop;

Sometimes picking out a hat becomes a family affair and the shop a battlefield—one girl wanted the exact same one as her mother.
Men often make vivid comparisons about hats. A hat reminds them of their mother, grand-mother or an aunt; sometimes even the bedside lamp shade! One time, a man said to his wife, "You look like a cheese plate cover". Another made this remark: "Oh! It reminds me of an upside-down cake mold."
One mother saw nothing but defects in her daughter's hat. But she thought it looked great on her head. I could tell that she really wanted it for herself!

One woman, seeing the stick pins on a hat we were making, suggested that we leave them in if they were pure silver. What would her dressmaker think?
< Let me introduce you to my pal Jules

I also remember a group of ladies who decided to try on all the hats in the shop…
Have you seen my friend Uliette in her beach hat? >

I can now say that underneath a hat lies a brain filled with memories, thoughts as well as some preconceived notions…
